POV: Mom’s have enough on their plate

Before having my beautiful boy Wild, I really thought my Type A personality would carry effortlessly into motherhood. The universe quickly humbled me!

After a high-risk pregnancy, an emergency C-section at 35 weeks & two unexpected months in the NICU, so many of the “firsts” I had pictured, had to be completely reimagined.

I’ve always loved celebrating the small details, so naturally as a control freak I assigned my husband in advance to decorate my hospital room while I recovered from 3 days of labor-well deserved I think!  To my delight everything turned out perfectly- & more importantly the decor lifted my spirits during a difficult time. 

What I didn’t expect was the surprising response I got. 

Countless nurses, staff & even hospital visitors stopped by our room constantly to compliment the decor. Some even asked for my info for other moms, while others said, “I wish I did this when I had my baby.”

💡 And just like that, “The Welcome Home, Edit” was born, no pun intended.
